Gold Award

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION
pBuzz wins Gold in Primary Teacher Awards
More eye-catching than a recorder, lighter than a drum and easier to play than a xylophone – the brightly coloured, lightweight and smooth edged pBuzz (£19.99 UK rrp) makes music fun for early learners.
Designed specifically to encourage children as young as three into the world of brass playing, pBuzz is helping to develop the next generation of brass musicians – and is seen as an alternative to traditional ‘first-time’ instruments such as the recorder. It has already experienced record worldwide sales following its launch in June and received an overwhelmingly positive response from children, parents and music teachers alike.
Now pBuzz has received the highest accolade at the Primary Teacher Awards – which celebrate products that stimulate a child’s development – by taking the coveted Gold Award.
The Award judges said: “We loved the bright colour of the instrument and the durable plastic it is made of. The children loved exploring the register of the instrument and were amazed at how lengthening and shortening it by means of sliding the outer part made different notes. Very useful and clever idea to have the different notes coloured on the inside of the slide. A brilliant instrument at a brilliant price.”
Offering a truly authentic experience of a proper mouthpiece, the pBuzz has a range of 6 notes through its moveable slide. The slide positions are outlined by colour, note name and also slide positions 1 – 6 so that children can learn in many ways, from traditional notation or the Orff colour system, to help aid understanding of pitch and varying length.
pBuzz is the latest innovative venture from Coventry-based Warwick Music Group, the design team behind the world’s first plastic trombone, pBone, which was closely followed by the pBone Mini and pTrumpet.
Warwick Music Group CEO, Steven Greenall, said: “We are so pleased that pBuzz won gold. We are proud that pBuzz is designed and manufactured here in the Midlands. Our aim is to inspire the next generation of musicians, and recognition from the Primary Teacher Awards will go a long way to recommending our instrument to educators and parents everywhere.”

pBuzz is exclusively distributed in the UK and ROI by JHS & Co. Ltd.
