The Old Green River Band is comprised of 6 musicians, each with the same enthusiasm, determination, musical ability and a sense of band identity. This combination produces a band of high-intensity music played to audiences who relish the experience.
For those of you up in the North of England you may like to know that we have a monthly session at The Black Swan, Hollins Green, every First Monday of The Month. This is near Warrington, a mile up the A57 from the M6 Junction 21. Alternatively, for those further East, come off on the A57 Junction 11 off the M60, the Manchester ring road, accessible off the M61 and the M62 and head West for Irlam, Cadishead and Hollins Green. The Black Swan has been around since the 1600s and has been very sensitively brought up to date. The selection of real, proper beer is extensive, entry for the jazz is £5 per person and the raffle always has a good selection of prizes. Kick-off is at 8.30pm and we wind up just after 11 pm.     Great band but would be evan better if they brought back Tony Denton on sax and get rid of Howard Murray.
