We are the MetroGnomes. We live and work at MetroCentre in Gateshead. MetroCentre is Europe’s biggest shopping centre and its full of fun and excitement.

We are Herbert (green gnome), Sherbet (yellow gnome), Maggot (blue gnomes) and Rusty (red gnome).

Herbert loves everything green. He lives in Forest Land underneath the green mall. He hates litter and is passionate about the Environment.

Sherbet loves cooking. He eats his five fruit and vegetables a day, and every so often he enjoys some candy. Everything in moderation! He makes sure he cleans his teeth after eating sugary treats and drinks.

Maggot loves the sea! Maggot is a keen fisherman and loves catching fish for tea. He loves surfing. It’s his favourite sport. He likes it so much he even enjoys surfing the Web!

Rusty lives under the red mall in Volcano Land. Rusty has a very special friend called Metroshoposaurus. He loves his pet and tells him all his secrets! Rusty is Mr Practical and does all the building, arts and crafts for the MetroGnomes.

This year the MetroGnomes have launched their very own website which can be found at www.themetrognomes.co.uk so you can have fun with them at the click of a mouse all year round.

The new interactive website promises you hours of fun. As a valued fan of the MetroGnomes; Herbert, Sherbet, Maggot and Rusty will keep you informed about all of the events and fun and exciting activities they are planning.
