Ged Hone’s family have been supplying music to Cheshire since 1874 when his great granddad took up residency after retiring from the 96 regiment army band. His son, grandson and great grandson all taking up trumpet like their father’s before them.
The name ‘good time music makers’ is a recent new direction influenced by the feedback from their client’s most often used comment “we don’t usually like Jazz, but we like this”, particularly with the four piece playing completely acoustic small band swing.
Ged Hone, the current trumpet bearer, has skilfully adapted old style traditional Jazz and swing to almost any occasion, with his dial a style Jazz menu and his multi-instrumental musicians his client’s can decide on the size and style of the band by discussing the size of both the venue and the budget.
The ‘good time music makers’ are suitable for all types of function’s at all kind’s of venue’s, indoor or outdoor. Recent appearance’s include; wedding’s, dinner dances, store opening’s, birthday parties, car launches and numerous T.V.
