CBSO Trumpet Section Choose Yamaha
After 6 months of consultation with CBSO trumpet section, trumpeters Alan Thomas, Jonathan Quirk and Jonathan Holland have decided to select Yamaha trumpets as their instrument of choice.
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, now nearly 90 years old, is one of the finest orchestras in the UK and is the main orchestra of Britain’s second city. The resident orchestra of Birmingham’s prestigious Symphony Hall, over the years the orchestra has enjoyed at its helm some of the World’s finest conductors including Sir Edward Elgar, Sir Adrian Boult and more recently, Sir Simon Rattle.
With 6 months of meetings and rigorous testing with Yamaha UK’s brass and woodwind technical manager, Stephen Adcock, the world renowned trumpet section chose models from our Xeno Artist range of trumpets. Both Alan Thomas and Jonathan Quirk chose the YTR9445CHSE (Chicago C Trumpet) and Jonathan Holland opted for the YTR9335NYS (New York Bb Trumpet).
The Xeno Artist Model series of trumpets have been produced after working with a large team of artisans, technicians and scientists developing the range through new production techniques, new methods of fine tuning and painstaking final adjustments. By taking time to look at all aspects of the trumpet, the end result is a collection of high quality trumpets that are well-balanced, consistent and suitable for every trumpeter’s needs.
